Water Light

Water Light is the focal point of the Lyric building’s pedestrian courtyard, Water Light Plaza, a place of discovery where art is woven into the wall.

About the Fountain

This abstract composition is a mosaic made with hundreds of mirrored and opaque tiles. A syncopated fountain sprays a complex water pattern in front of the tile as if the water were drawing arcs across the abstract composition behind it. The mirrored mosaic pieces reflect not only the arcs of water but also the visitors, the surroundings and the sky. Additional designs in the cement mimic the shapes in the wall and invite visitors into this intimate plaza.
