About these Sculptures
Talley Fisher’s suspended art piece starts in the south 2-story open lobby, the art abstractly represents a tree canopy. As you ascend the stairs, moving upward through the canopy and into the 2-story north lobby, you are greeted by ‘floating clouds’ with a color pallet inspired by the serene hues of Mount Diablo at sunrise.
About the Artist
Fisher comes to the art world through her longtime work with her father and her deep interest in science and the natural world. Her sculpture often suggests themes from nature, such as birds in flight, soaring clouds, or flowing rivers, floating leaves, and stars. A Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1996 solidified her already deep interest in nature.
Location: In the lobby of the UCSF-John Muir Health Jean and Ken Hofmann Cancer Center at the Behring Pavilion on 177 La Casa Via at the John Muir Heath Medical Center.
