Submission Guidelines

About

The Walnut Creek Library Community Art Gallery was created to encourage the development of artistic expression and to foster greater appreciation for art in our community.

The Library Community Art Gallery is a program of The City of Walnut Creek’s Arts, Recreation and Community Services Department, and is managed by a panel of the Walnut Creek Arts Commission.

PLEASE NOTE: The Community Art Gallery is NOT a program of the Library. Library staff will not be able to answer questions.

Walnut Creek Library is located at 644 N Broadway, Walnut Creek, CA 94596.

Library Hours 

  • Monday – Tuesday: 10 AM – 8 PM
  • Wednesday – Thursday: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Friday – Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Exhibition Wall Diagram

  • 3 adjacent walls, 128 inches tall (10 feet 8 inches).
  • Hanging track for cable and hook display system at 94 inches height (7 feet, 10 inches).
  • Wall A: 18 feet wide.
  • Wall B: 24 feet wide.
  • Wall C: 8 feet wide.
  • Walls A and B form a corner, with Wall A featuring natural sunlight from a large window.
  • Walls B and C are the same wall, with a door dissecting.
